So I'll start off by admitting, I am very late this week with my post. My apologies.
Well that gets me thinking. What would the world be like without time? Without a way to document what happened when? How was the concept of time created? Would life be able to go on is it does now without the perception of time? Maybe things would be better off! We could move on from a terrible moment in our lives with ease, because what's now is all that matters if there is no past tense. Could this work, a world without time? Ideas?
A world without time would be so much happier. People, especially us college students, would not always be working so hard to meet deadlines or get work in on time. People would probably enjoy life a lot more without time. We would not worry so much about all of the little things, but rather, he big scheme of things like family and friends. I feel like if i was not doing work all the time, i would be able to spend a lot more time with family and friends. Even when trying to talk about a world without time, i have used the word because that is how you describe doing things.
ReplyDeleteFor example, "I spent three hours doing homework last night, so i didn't get to spend any time with my friends." Time is used twice in that sentence without even really thinking about it.
I think a world without time would be a lot of fun. Maybe we should try it someday :).
I've wondered about this myself. I'd like to know where the idea of measuring time came from. While some measurements such as days are natural, where did hours and minutes come from?
ReplyDeleteI have also wondered about TIME since time is so precious to all of us. I always find myself wishing for more time but it seems that time fly’s by when you’re having fun, but then again not enough time to get all your work done that needs to get done. It may be that we are all racing against the clock.
